Developmental Editing
Are you unsure of where your manuscript needs work? Then you might benefit from a developmental edit! Whether it's tone, dialogue, structure or character arcs, developmental editing focuses on the "big picture" elements of your story.
My goal is to point out areas that need work and explain why these changes may be necessary. Typically, my developmental edits will include a 3-7 page assessment where I go over all of my feedback.
2
Proofreading
Proofreading is all about the finer details. This includes grammar, sentence structure, punctuation, and typos. I will go through your manuscript with a fine-toothed comb to ensure its readability.
Please Note: Proofreading will not include "big picture" aspects that fall under developmental edits.
3
Line Editing
Are you worried about your manuscript feeling distinct? Then you might want to consider getting a line edit. Line editing focuses largely on the "style" of your writing. It is a nuanced, detailed, line-by-line edit that critiques word choice, effectiveness, and even unnecessary repetition.
This is an intensive form of editing that analyzes the tone, clarity and intent of your story.

Beta Reading
Beta reading is useful if you want constructive feedback about general inconsistencies, clarity, and plot holes from an unbiased source. What you expect from me as a beta reader can be negotiated to your preferences or concerns.
Typically, my beta reader feedback will include a 3-5 page assessment.
